Yamina Rizvi is pursuing Masters in Law from Jamia Millia Islamia. She strongly believes in using law as an instrument to bring change in the lives of underprivileged people. She has interned in chambers of Senior advocates like Indira Jaising, Pinky Anand, Prashant Bhushan, and others who have always championed the idea of social justice. She was an active paralegal volunteer of Delhi State Legal Service Authority and took part in various door-to-door awareness campaigns and Lok Adalat. She has also extensively worked on the child rights project of Bachpan Bachao Andolan. Yamina is a vociferous reader and often writes blogs and research papers touching upon various legal aspects; however, mooting continues to be the love of her life. She wishes to inculcate environmental consciousness around. Along with this, she is a person of faith, with a strong belief in God, and wishes to interpret Islamic texts from women’s point of view.
