Shaista Naaz

Shaista Naaz is pursuing French Language, Literature, and Culture studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Soon after her graduation, she will join Teach for India as a fellow for the cohort 2020-2022. During her graduation, she worked with multiple Government Departments like the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Ministry of Health, New Delhi. Growing up in a small town in India, she has witnessed the consequences of lack of basic fundamental rights such as education which she firmly believes is the core element in empowerment. It is the need of the hour to eradicate educational inequity. She is looking forward to working in the development sector and help the community uplift by breaking the shackles of stereotypical notions prevailing to date. During her pastime, you can find her reading classics, playing with needles and thread, or wandering in nature.
