ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. Asad H. Sahir, a distinguished faculty member within the Department of Chemical Engineering, is renowned for his expertise in Process Systems Engineering, including Modeling, Control, and Optimization, as well as Energy and Environmental Engineering. Dr. Sahir completed his doctoral studies at the esteemed University of Utah, fostering a deep understanding of his field. Notably, he has served as a mentor to numerous interns, guiding them through valuable experiences that propelled their careers forward. Previously, Dr. Sahir held the pivotal role of Head of Professional Development, Career Development, and Corporate Relations Centre at IIT Ropar, where he also advised the Society of Women Engineers IIT Ropar Affiliate, demonstrating his commitment to both professional growth and diversity in engineering.
