Samina is a multi-passionate individual constantly blending ideas with purpose. You will often find her designing products on Figma, but she's actually a Political Science graduate from Calcutta University who taught herself design at 15. She has worked with 5+ global organizations including non-profits, think tanks, and startups as a UX Designer and Researcher. Through her experience of studying Social science, she observed that the gap between what college teaches and what the job market demands is leaving brilliant women behind in the AI Revolution. Skill disparity, adding on to gender disparity, is a real and humongous problem, so she founded Women AI Collective this year to help women from both non-tech and tech backgrounds be AI-literate and AI-fluent. In her words "Career for women isn't a privilege, it's a right and good design isn't about aesthetics, it's about inclusivity- expanding opportunities for people who've been overlooked."
