Saman Jafri

Saman Jafri is a recent M.Sc. Biotechnology graduate from Aligarh Muslim University, with a strong foundation in Chemistry and a passion for interdisciplinary research. Her academic background spans molecular biology, immunology, and biochemistry. At the APJ Abdul Kalam STEM ER Center (OSU-AMU), she undertook a six-month project investigating the therapeutic potential of enantiomeric copper(II) complexes, deepening her interest in bio-inorganic chemistry. She has published two research papers and aims to pursue a Ph.D. in cancer biology, focusing on cancer immunotherapy, epigenetics, and antibody-based therapeutics. Eager to enhance her research toolkit, Saman is actively incorporating bioinformatics into her skill set. She is driven by curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to impactful scientific discovery. Outside the lab, Saman enjoys reading and sketching, viewing art and science as complementary ways to explore and understand the world. She hopes to contribute meaningfully to cancer research and improve healthcare outcomes through innovation and collaboration.
