Zainab Fatima is a Computer Science Engineering student at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. She is passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems, with a focus on healthcare, sustainability, and social equity. Zainab has worked on award-winning projects like MediVerify AI, an AI-powered fake medicine detection system, and an ocean plastic cleanup platform. She has won national-level hackathons and competitions, including first place in the Data Analytics using Terraview challenge and multiple recognitions in innovation sprints hosted by Google and Hack2Skill. Her goal is to become a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at a top tech company and launch her own tech-for-good startup in the future. As a LedBy Accelerator Fellow, Zainab is also committed to increasing Muslim women’s representation in tech by creating inclusive spaces, sharing resources, and mentoring peers. She believes in building with purpose, leading with empathy, and showing up boldly — even when she’s the first.
