Sheikha Alia

Sheikha Alia is a Senior UX Data Scientist in Oracle’s design team. In her current role, she is accountable for not only delivering the best experience to the users of Oracle’s existing products but also for defining and enhancing future products. Using different research methods, various types of data (primary and secondary data), and diverse methodologies (regression methods and ML techniques), she monitors and assesses user behavior to infer preferences that help create relevant and innovative products.

Prior to Oracle, she was an academic researcher at the Indian School of Business where she studied the influence of various firm strategies on consumer behavior. Alia holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Koç University, Turkey.

She is very committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. To achieve this goal, she works with different organizations that believe in democratizing mentorship for all. She is also a strong advocate for women’s financial independence.
