Mashqura Fareedi

Mashqura Fareedi works with the Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives, India where she leads the theme on Welfare – ensuring last-mile delivery of rights and entitlements to the vulnerable. She has worked in the past on issues of local governance, environmental legislation, political and electoral reform. She is an alumnus of Nirmala Niketan, College of Social Work, University of Mumbai and belongs to the hill town of Darjeeling in India. Mashqura believes that young people will show the world the pathway to a more equal, just, and sustainable future; an investment in the youth, especially, young women, is, therefore, imperative to secure a better future for the world.
