Basheera Shaik

Basheera Shaik works with UKRI India as a Senior Programme Manager. She builds research partnerships and collaboration between the UK and India. Basheera has over a decade of experience in working in international diplomacy and development, especially in designing and execution of programmes and projects. Prior to the joining UKRI, Basheera worked to set up the Global Dryland Alliance, an international organisation for food security with a UN observer status. She has also worked with the Government of Qatar in developing the country's National Masterplan for Food Security. Basheera has a Masters in International Development from the University of Manchester and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
