Urooj Fatima

"Urooj Fatima has completed her graduation in English with a minor in Sociology from The Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. She is extremely dedicated towards initiating conversations and advocating change in the sectors of Women Empowerment, Gender Equality and Mental Health. To fulfill her aspirations, she has worked with organizations like Mindpeers, We the Young, Girl Up Wings and Indian Cancer Society. She loves volunteering at Teaching NGOs that help make education accessible to children from underprivileged communities.
Through her education, Urooj wishes to provide pro bono education and peer support to extend help and resources to fellow Muslim Women. Her dream is to upskill and empower women so that they break from the walls of stereotypical culture that holds them from becoming financially independent.
In her free time, you would find Urooj reading books or writing on issues she strongly feels about.
When in doubt, she always finds answers through her faith in God. She finds peace in helping people and believes her purpose in this life is to work towards humanitarian causes
