Sadaf Nausheen

Sadaf Nausheen is a final year Master’s student of Women’s Studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Her MA thesis is an exploratory study on the idea and praxis of interfaith and inter-caste marriages among women in marriages of choice. As an intersectional feminist, always in the making, she wishes to pursue research in the field of gender in the coming years while shaping a future in academia, where she believes she truly belongs. She has also been a sportsperson and dismayed at the opportunities present for young girls in the field, wishes to contribute to the creation of spaces where structural hindrances can be minimized, and women and gender minorities can engage in sports as equals. At the end of the day, she believes that the most important change one can bring in the world is by finding one’s own solidarities against systemic injustices.
