Fousiya CK

Fousiya CK, born and raised in Kerala, is a Research Associate at The Gender Park. She has always been keen on working with marginalized communities. She completed her Master’s in Social Work with a specialization in community development from the Central University of Tamil Nadu. Her interests are in the areas of gender, women empowerment, and social entrepreneurship. Previously, she worked at Dakshin Foundation, Bangalore as a researcher for three years. She wants to pursue her career in gender research. She believes that every woman should be financially independent. Hence, along with pursuing her career she also started a project to encourage and supports other girls and women to become financially independent. To achieve this, she initiated community interventions in her locality. In the future, she is planning to develop an action plan to increase the scope and potential of her project.
