Arisha Salman is a Financial Sector Analyst at the Consultative Group to Assist the Poor (CGAP) which is housed at The World Bank in Washington DC. She works on Financial Sector Development, with a specific focus on policy, data, and new business models. She also plays the role of Gender Advocate at CGAP.
Before joining CGAP, Arisha worked for over 5 years on digital financial inclusion, SME development, and gender mainstreaming in South and Southeast Asia. She has held positions as a Management Consultant with the Financial Services Practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers and with the Gender Equity Thematic Group at the Asian Development Bank.
Arisha holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Delhi. Her long-standing professional goal is to address the acute challenges that women from minority communities and other vulnerable groups face in accessing economic opportunities in India.
