Umam Hanif is a post-graduate from ILS Law College with specialization in International Law, Pune where she has delved into and learned about various conventions, regulations and organizations, and she dreams of working in the United Nations in sustainability. She is also an advocate at the Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad.
She has worked on various research projects in her LLM curriculum viz, Social Transformation through Sustainable Development, Brexit and the Private International Law relation between UK and EU, Human Rights in Anti Piracy Operations, Status of Environmental Protection Principles as Customs in International Law through which she nurtured her research acumen.
Umam is passionate about the rights of minorities and defying stereotypes about Muslim women and aims to inspire young Muslim women to follow their dreams and to encourage them to make their own career choices even if they seem unconventional
